Our Talented Young Student is Trying to Make a Difference in the World…She’s taking on bullying!

Our singing student, 11-year-old Alexa Valentino, is trying to make a difference in the world, by taking up the cause against bullying. This has become a big issue in our schools and communities. Sadly, some stories of bullying have been brought to our attention in the news because of the devastation bullying can cause, and because of lives that have been ruined by it. Many talk about it, but don’t take action against it. Fortunately, schools and other organizations have begun anti-bullying programs. Students and school personnel are now empowered to help stop bullying. After witnessing bullying first-hand, young Alexa decided to take a stand. Talking about it simply was not enough. Alexa used her talent to sing about it!

This young singer-actress has appeared in Off-Broadway and regional theater productions, benefit concerts, and in films. She is also an accomplished musician who plays piano, guitar, and violin. Alexa composes and sings her own original songs. Her first single, Free 2 Love, is an anti-bullying song which has been produced and made into a music video, which will be available on iTunes. Alexa wrote this song in response to what she has witnessed and how it makes her feel. She wants kids to know that they have choices and they can make a difference. Free 2 Love is upbeat and positive, and sends a powerful message. Alexa is passionate about this cause, and hopes to reach as many people as possible. Watch her video below. Congratulations to this smart and talented mover and shaker! Let’s hope that her creativity and hard work inspires other talented young people. Imagine what they can accomplish, by writing and performing songs to influence their peers to do the right thing. They can truly change the world, one song at a time.
